This competition is for Undergraduate and Postgraduate students who have the opportunity to display their creations/innovations during the Middle East Electricity exhibition held in March in Dubai.
MELA Director Gerald Strickland and other industry experts were recently asked to support this activity by judging the program entries. Many major universities participated and a dedicated area on the show floor was set up for students to display their innovative products and solutions. Judges were invited to attend the announcement of the winners, held onsite on the 8 March 2018 where the winner and runner-up of the Judge’s Choice category were announced and trophy presented.
Gerald Strickland commented ‘It is a real pleasure to be invited to be one of the judges at this competition. These are remarkable young people from many different countries in the region and walks of life. They have been inspired with great ideas, collaborated to solve problems and find opportunities to do more with less. We need more of them!’
