On 24 August 2018, the Saudi Arabian Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) updated Annex 1 of the General Rules on Energy Efficiency Technical Regulation to include additional products in scope.
All products listed in the Annex must comply with the requirements of the regulation and the related standards mentioned therein.
Lighting products were included in the updated Annex and must therefore comply with Standard SASO 2870:2018 (Part1) with immediate effect and with Standard SASO 2902:2018 (Part2) as of 7 December 2018.
